Changes in the Hardware park

14 03 2010

I give away two of my Amiga at the HomeCon 6. First of all a Amiga 2000. I bought the machine from a college some 5-6 years ago. It was a Amiga with 2 Disks drives, and it served since then as my main Kick Off maschine. The maschine was really great. It could play Kick off without any problems, what else you wanted to have.

The machine itself is ugly, it feels like a PC and beside the big Amiga Label, it looks like a PC. So finally I came to the decision, to play with my other Amigas and gave this one away.

I also gave  away my A500. I never wanted to buy it, but when I bought my A1200, the seller gave no power supply away with the A1200, so I had to buy a A500 as well only for the power supply. The machine also served well during the Kick Off German championship 2006, that’s why it had a Kick Off label.

Beside the A600 I bought last week, I got more new machines I planed before at the HomeCon 6. First I changed a Coleco steering wheel for the colecovision against a Interton VC4000 console, only that Hessi could finally get rid of it. But it’s the only German gamin console ever produced (maybe the new OpenPandora could count as Number 2), and it looks good on top of my shoes board.

Before I went to the HomeCon, I went to my neighbor  to get the Boxes of the A600 and 1084S monitor I bought last week. There I found a Sega Saturn, with US power supply and no game (beside a Dreamcast one) and no controllers.

Finally in exchange for the A2000 and some extra money I  got a Atari 5200 with some :-) extras. I always wanted to have a 5200, so I’m really happy to have it. Next I need some time to get into the system.

First time I played Final Fantasy

21 04 2009

I got a copy of Final Fantasy for the GC at the AC. I read on the cover, that all texts are in french, so I hoped, to learn a little bit french. But what a suprise, when I put it in my Wii, all texts were in german. So I think I have to look for the option to change the language.

So maybe first I will play it in german and then in french. Anyway, interesting intro’s so far. Look forward to see more.

The good old boobs of PSX Lara

21 03 2008

I remember 1997 when I visited the Siliconvention Party in Bremen. For the first time I saw Tomb Raider on a PSX, and well it was impressive. I loved the athmosphere of the game a lot. I remember next to it was a early version of FIFA or something like that, and a stupid local was playing. I asked him, if I could join the game, and he agreed. When we choosed the teams, he said I take germany, bacause I’m proud to be german, and I thought fuckin nationalist and said, I choose England, cause I have friends there (I’m shure he only have german friends).
I won 3-1 and was really satisfied.

Today some 11 years later, while I’m much to late to enter the Breakpoint party, I played Tomb Raider on the PSX for the first time with my own copy of the game. And again I like this athmosphere.

My first Sensie 2006 goal

4 01 2008

Today I finally got Sensible Soccer 2006 for the XBox. My first game was between Germany and UAE and it was a 0:0. Next one ended 1:1 and my first goal was scored by a Klinsa. Not bad, I like it, now I have to read the manual

Heroes of generations

30 12 2007

I just had a look at the NDS trailer of Mario & Sonic at the olympic games. I remebered, that I talked some days ago with my mother about some nice NDS games, cause my nephews got a Nintendo at Xmas.

I head that there will be a release of Asterix at the olympics as well as Mario & Sonic at the olympics in the near future (or they are allready released).

I of course would be more interested in the Mario & Sonic one, but it was interesting, that my mother only mention the Asterix game.

Well, of course my mother don’t know Mario and Sega. So this seems to be generation problem. So it was a great idea to release the Asterix game, because most of the time, the people have the money who don’t know Mario or Sonic.
